On tour with Andrew McMahon Spring 2013

We just announced tour dates (and tickets going on sale this morning) for our upcoming tour with Andrew McMahon. This should be a lot of fun! We’ve been admirers of Andrew’s music and personal story for quite some time so it goes without saying that this will be a privilege to share the stage and play for his amazing fans.

We’re working hard on crafting what will be the next batch of songs that we cannot wait to share with you, some we hope to debut and play live for this first time on this tour.

As part of this tour we’ll be returning to Austin for SXSW and cannot wait for the hullabaloo and hell raising that will be.

As always we love you appreciate you taking the time to care and be invested in what we’re doing. Looking forward to seeing so many of you at these shows.

***Barcelona will be direct support 3/12 - 4/4 only. No east coast appearances.

A sincere Happy 2013 to all of you. We’re glad the Mayans had it all wrong and it is our hope that you had a memorable holiday season with family and friends. We all did and are looking forward to what this new year will bring (a new album & more touring) which happen to be our very favorite things.

That said, we wanted to share with you that we’ve listed everything in our merch store at major discount. Year-end lists. Why make them? What importance or meaning do they even have? Do they serve as reference points in our experiential timeline throughout the year — to recollect on some distant feelings or memories we expressed toward particular things or objects in the busyness of our lives. Or are they more vein expressions of our voracious collecting mindset to find all things hip and viral to promote our own cultural ‘in the know’?

These are some great bands whose songwriting and albums-as-whole we really enjoyed throughout the year. By ourselves and together traveling in the van. We even saw a few of them live in concert. Some were brand new to us, others we’re doing new things sonically and some just surprised us altogether.

We teamed up once again with Imperial Motion to create a new exclusive shirt in conjunction with our fall tour. Inspiration for the design was derived from the song “Till Death”.

We throughly enjoyed our afternoon of escapades with the lovely ladies of Secret Sound Shop. During our week at CMJ we made time to sneak away from the madness and share a few of our favorite songs for their cameras. What we thought would be a rowdy crowd of teenagers attempting to photobomb our session turned out to be one of the strangest impromptu dance parties we’ve ever experienced (video mark 8:01)

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the showcases this past weekend in NYC. It had been too long (3+ years) since our last visit so it was thrilling to see so many of you come out and support the shows and new songs.
